R & B Divas: Sneak Peek

A few people are super excited about the new show R&B Divas that will  premiere on TV One Aug. 20th at 10pm the description for the show reads:
Each has had their ups and each have had their downs -- all in the harsh light of stardom. Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson and KeKe Wyatt -- five strong women who have been broken down and are rebuilding from the ground up.

R&B Divas takes you inside the lives of these music stars as they work, play and struggle to get their lives and careers back on track. Brought together by their friendship and love of R&B goddess Whitney Houston, these incredible singers are dealing with everything from divorce to drugs and sexuality.

Having all seen the highs and lows of the music business, these ladies know what it's like to command the spotlight... then see it dim. Now, armed with important life lessons, they're stronger and wiser. However, this time, they're coming together to make a difference.

Resilient and dynamic, these R&B Divas not only continue to build their own lives and careers, but also pay their good fortune forward, helping others along the way. The series offers a personal glimpse into their private worlds as they lean on each other and offer candid revelations about their efforts to deal with major life transitions and challenges such as divorce, parenting issues, drugs, alcohol, physical abuse and more.

Today, her affiliation with NCADV is one that is very important to her. “I am proud of my affiliation with NCADV and I am happy to be able to lend my voice to their mission. I often perform songs about domestic violence and for me it is a stress reliever. I want ladies and girls to know they are not the only ones going through what they are going through. You're human just like others in the situation. It's a horrible feeling when you're stuck in that. And even when you get away you live in fear not knowing when something might happen. Me being active in domestic violence groups is part of it. I think that's why people go through things, so you can help someone else. God helps you help others get out of the situation."
