Love and Hip Hop Reunion Recap by Rodney Ho

Best moments from ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ reunion, part 1

7-300x225Mona Scott Young, the executive producer of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” hosted the reunion in Atlanta a few weeks ago and it aired last night.
What did we learn? Not too much but here we go:
Joseline, who quickly became the star of the show, looked good and didn’t back down. “I’m the baddest b-,” she said. And the b-word was thrown around liberally over the hour. Liberally. I will use it as the b- word the rest of this entry just because I have to have some standards. (The fact I’m writing about this at all means I have very low standards, but they are standards nonetheless.)
- Mona Scott Young said Joseline is definitely a woman and the pregnancy (that she ultimately aborted) was for real. How did she know? Young watched Joseline strip down and pee on a pregnancy test. Seriously. “I’m all woman… Eveyr b- wants to look like me. I’m a bad b.” – Joseline.
Why she opted not to have the baby: “I wasn’t going to have a baby with a [curse word] with five kids.. I was not ready. I put my career before anything else.”
Joseline doesn’t deny her rough-hewed past. “I went to jail a bunch of times. I have a hundred mug shots.”
Joseline’s pragmatic side: “Stevie’s crazy. Stevie do what he want to do. I’m down with it.”
Line that elicited the most derisional snorting from the crowd: “I’m a woman of God. I curse. God knows my heart.” – Joseline.
Who won the Scrappy/Stevie J fight? Who knows. Both claim victory of course. Young said they truncated the actual fight for the reunion show because of “backlash” about violence.
Mimi makes no apologies about sticking with Stevie J on and off over 15 years and didn’t close the door on getting back with him. She also got defensive over all the backlash against her on the Web, saying she has her own income, that she wasn’t staying with Stevie for his cash money. “That was just what was happening… I don’t know one woman who hasn’t been cheated on. It’s just my story was being televised.” Mimi said. “Never been a victim. Never have, never will. Don’t f-in judge me.”
How old is Karlie? She won’t say. Do we care? K. Michelle does. “You look like Michael Jackson in ‘Thriller’ “B-, your neck is wrinkled. B- you old.” Classy. The pair eventually work the Springer route but get pulled apart by security. Karlie attempted a comeback or two. The best she could pull off: “You look like the bottom of my shoe.”
Understatement of the night: “I never thought I was the marrying type.” – Stevie J.
Straightfromthea.com has access to the entire episode.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: How old is Karli Redd

MTO just busted Karli Redd Lying ass about her age lol they found footage of her from another reality show  called Scream Queens in 2007 saying she was 29, so how did she say she was born in 1985 on the reunion show last night. mmmm someone is LYING HARD, unless her ass was frozen for some years there is no way she still in her 20's

Bad Girls Club 10 in ATL

If you see a bunch of ladies acting poorly in front of cameras, perhaps screaming or throwing down, it may not be “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Instead, it may very well be Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club,” which is being shot in Buckhead through October 5, according to the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office. The office heard Atlanta possesses a huge viewing audience for this show. (Oxygen itself hasn’t made any official announcement yet but a spokeswoman acknowledged that this is indeed true.)
“Bad Girls Club,”  takes seven rebellious women and attempt to “tame” them into more civilized folk. Atlanta is the tenth season.
The show has been taped in past years in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Las Vegas and in the current season airing now, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. Ratings this past Monday were solid for Oxygen: 1.5 million viewers (though that isn’t nearly as many as E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” or VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.”)

Basketball Wives LA Season 2

Here is the Super Trailer:

R & B Divas has good ratings

To my surprise opening night drew about 900,000 viewers for this show ... let see if they stay

Season 3 for Single Ladies

VH1 hit show Single Ladies will be back for a 3rd season Vice President of Programming made it official:

Our viewers’ love affair with ‘Single Ladies’ got even bigger this year, growing significantly from its successful first season and dominating its time slot on basic cable. We’re extremely happy that we’ll be able to give the audience another great season of the series and its honest, current take on love, dating and female friendship.”

Nene Leakes is a Grandmother

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes just recently learned she is a grandmother. According to In Touch magazine, NeNe’s son Bryson, 22, knocked up Ashley, 21, who gave birth to adorable little Bri’Asia in mid-June. Congrats to NeNe and Bryson!
From In Touch:
I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along. I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ and she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young. I didn’t feel like he was ready for such a big responsibility. I was his age when I had him, so I know how tough it is. I didn’t want him to make the same mistakes that I did. I needed to let it sink in. I always wanted to have a girl and now I have one! She’s just adorable. I paid for everything in the nursery… the clothing, the diapers, little dresses, sparkly headbands, and Gucci shoes. I don’t want her to feel strapped. We just love her!

R & B Divas Episode 1 recap

Brought to you by Sandra Rose because every time I try to watch it I fall asleep

Monday night was the series premiere of TV One’s “R&B Divas” starring (L-R)Monifah, Nicci Gilbert, Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt. The show’s story line revolves around Evans’ plan to get the 5 women in the studio to record a blockbuster R&B album together.
But actually ‘R&B Divas‘ — which is filmed in Atlanta — is just another reality show that focuses on black women and their dysfunctional relationships with men and with each other. The premiere episode set the tone for the rest of the series by highlighting each woman’s flaws.
There’s KeKe Wyatt, 30, who can’t or won’t go anywhere without her 2nd husband, Michael. Wyatt made headlines in 2001 when she stabbed her 1st husband in the chest and arms with a kitchen knife during an argument on Christmas day. Rahmat Morton survived his injuries, but he dropped Wyatt like a hot potato.
Wyatt’s fragile emotions is further complicated by hormone fluctuations caused by her sixth pregnancy (she has 3 children with her 1st husband and 2 with Michael). Faith Evans, 39, has a history of drug and alcohol problems that resulted in DUI charges in 2004. Then there’s Monifah, 41, whose personal experiences with abandonment issues and alcoholism caused her to become involved with abusive lesbians over the past 2 decades.
It’s sad that TV One has chosen this route for these talented but troubled women, but there’s money to be made at the expense of black culture.

Love & Hip Hop Welcome Yandy Son Omere Harris

Congrats to Yandy

Love & Hip Hop Finale ? maybe not

Recap br Rodney Ho at the AJC:

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ recap: I am… God?

5c53b020d39ab0decc20278e4b03d8e8
If you see the word “cocky” in that old dictionary, there’s a picture of Stevie J.
The arrogant producer on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” who is hoping to keep both his baby’s mama Mimi and his “client,” Joseline in his back pocket, decides to have a second therapist session with the trio. (The last time, Joseline punched him in the face so he’s a glutton for punishment.) He strolls in wearing a shirt with the words “I am God” emblazoned on his T-shirt.
The editors strategically places the three of them in separate chairs this time around as opposed to one couch. There are probably about 50 security guards right outside of camera view to boot.
“He feels he can have you both,” the therapist at the Bliss Center tells them.
“The reality is he’s not going to change,”he adds. “You have to take control of your lives.”
Joseline acts as if it’s no big deal that Stevie J is a smarmy player, when in fact, she does care. Mimi is at the end of her rope.
Stevie J spends the entire season finale episode using a bus analogy. He’s the bus driver. The women go on and off as the please. He provides the gas, the air in the tires, the entire short bus (as my wife just dubbed it.)
“It’s my bus,” he explains. “Get with the program or I’m going to have to leave you in the desert.”
The lip-smacking dude  is so confident he can have both of them, he puts on his sunglasses in the office as if he’s Tom Cruise in “Risky Business.”
But Mimi isn’t going for that. By the end of the episode, she refuses to stay on the bus – and she refuses to be in the desert either. Apparently, she has a cleaning business and can live without him – or so she says. And she does show strength leaving him in the dust. He is angry. He likes to think he’s in control of this bus.
And when Stevie J wants Joseline to meet up with another female singer with more tattoos than Joseline, she instantly gets jealous and storms out. So much for her being cool with his behavior. At the end of the episode, she is at least happy that she no longer needs to strip but is now singing. So after opening the season coming off as a fool, she ends up a far more sympathetic figure – despite her penchant for referencing to herself in third person.
Ultimately, the Mimi/Stevie J/Joseline story line outhustled every other one on the show by several miles on the soap opera scale. Here’s a quick summary of other plots:
Erica finally broke it off with marble-mouthed Lil Scrappy, who goes back to Shay and his mommy. Yawn.
K. Michelle remains indignant that Rasheeda doesn’t fully buy her “I was abused by her friend Memphiz” story.
- Rasheeda celebrates 12 years with her husband in a ceremony so noteworthy to the editors of the show, they cut it down to about 30 seconds.
Benzino struggles with whether he should propose to Karlie and when he tries, he botches it by not even asking her the question while showing her the ring. When she questions his sincerity, he backs off.  They break off, it appears. She is later seen canoodling with local rapperRoscoe Dash.
It appears VH1, riding the success of the show, has cobbled together an 11th episode for next Monday but I’m not sure what it’s going to entail. Then we get to the reunion, which should be a delight.
“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” is drawing higher ratings than Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” did, even in its best season, averaging more than 3 million viewers the first run and another 1.5 million during the 10 p.m. repeat.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: Scrappy about to put them paws on 'em

MTO is reporting that Scrappy got work about Erica Italian Boo and ran up on his Job and slapped the man and spit in his face .. at that point the guy called the show producers and had them to remove all footage of him and that is why he was not seen SO THEY SAY......

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Gossip: K & Rasheedah at it again

Rasheedah finally has taken the time to respond to the interviews K. Michelle has been doing .. I am not sure what round we are on with them two but this is what Rasheedah has to say :

Here is my reply! I find it real sad how this desperate rat Fake.Michelle can’t keep my name out her mouth. It’s sad how a person wants sympathy but every word & gesture out of her mouth is slapping a bitch and whooping a bitch ass. First, when you see Toya you gone slap her on site (YEAH RIGHT), then you threaten to whoop Kandi ass but when you seen her at the hair salon you was quiet as a mouse. Now, today u have another interview out claiming your only regret was you wish you would of slapped the shit outta me & hit me with a 1/2 punch. That alone should make people question your character. All of our careers Me, Kandi & Toya we have been nothing but positive women to the public. Everything you say is violent. You keep preaching about being abused but threatening to abuse others. You hit Karlie in the head with some silverware, she should of pressed charges against your ass. But my point here is, we are witnessing you physically & verbally abusing several women via interviews, blogs & twitter bullying and it’s a sad ass shame for someone who is claiming to be a victim. You’re playing the public trying to make them think you were abused but we know that story has a lot of holes in it. So, the police came to the hotel and seen you beat & abused like you telling the world and didn't lock up a black man in Memphis, TN???? Bitch please, where they do that at! You claiming you didn't want to press no charges, but they would of took that into there own hands by law. Its a shame you trying to sell this old ass story but keep threatening to hurt others in the process. The sad part is the media & the fans have to wait and continue to watch you self-destruct while everybody else already know the truth about you. Sorry ya'll! As far as any woman who has been a victim of domestic violence my heart goes out to you all and I wish you nothing but the best but this chick right here is a FUCKING FRAUD!!
and of course K. Michelle fired back
It would b fun2offer Georgia Prune a verbal lashing, but truth is she needs 2fight with me 2even come back next season. So Ill pass
15minutes the whole season and all of them put us 2sleep. Ur hottest scenes were becuz I was in them.
That grandmother is mad chile.
Toya, Memphitz's wife got in on the mix tweeting Rasheeda:
@RASHEEDA i think its time to drop this audio on that Azz. what u think???enough is enough> (Rasheeda's response) Yes! Let's shut dis hoe down!
Audio?  Toya erased THAT tweet (like she usually does when she realizes something was childish) but added a tweet saying, "And not no damn rap."
So is there audio that proves K. Michelle is lying?  What's really going on here?  Sigh.

Ev & Ocho: Hard Knocks shows cut from Dolphins

I did not see the show so this is directly from Necole Bitchie

Last night, on HBO’s Hard Knocks, which follows the trials and tribulations of the Miami Dolphins, Chad Johnson was released from the team after his domestic violence incident involving Evelyn Lozada. Considering this just happened on Sunday, this is the most reality you’ll ever get on television. EVER.
Before, Chad walked into Coach Philbin’s office, his coach could be heard on the phone telling someone:
‘This Summer he was tweeting stuff he shouldn’t have been, then we had a press conference where he goes off on a tirade, ‘F this and F that’ and now we have this thing. He hasn’t been around us a long time. His temperament isn’t great for us. When things are good, it’s good but when things aren’t so good, he can be a tad… you know’.
Although Chad reminded his coach, ‘I’ve never been in trouble. Ever’, he was still given the pink slip:
I don’t know if this is working for the benefit of you, me, the Miami Dolphins or anybody else. I think you are a good person and I acknowledge people make mistakes. [...] Where we are as a program, and where we are headed, I just don’t see the mesh right now. I wish it was different and I could be more encouraging but I just think this is best for us to part ways at this time.
I’m not trying to flex my muscles, ‘I’m the head coach and let’s make an example of Chad Johnson‘. It’s not about that. It’s more about how you fit in, how we fit in together and where this thing is headed. I just don’t see it being what I thought it would be and what I hoped it would be.
It’s almost hard to believe this aired just days after the actual incident.  People want to be on reality TV but is this the reality that you really want shown on TV?

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: Suck my FACE?!?!?!

Teddy Riley held an event in Atlanta last night. Can you guess which favorite jump off was in attendance ... you guessed it Joseline and her and Stevie made the red carpet a make out session but please explain the need to suck his face????

Anywho seeing  how Stevie was punched last week for simply mentioning Joseline in Mimi presence we wonder what will happen next... I hope he can duck ...

RHOA : New Castmates Kenya & Porsha

The YBF is reporting that it is Official Kenya & Porsha are now officially cast of the RHOA, oh well Marlo guess you were not a good fit for the show lol OR one rich billionaire who is rumoured to be married and own a lot of stuff including a team and a network... did not want his business aired so he shut it down. We all saw how QUICK the mysterious Big Poppa was revealed lol anywho back to the girls..

Bravo has signed on former Miss USA Kenya Moore. The 5’10” beauty has lots of experience in front of the camera, with roles in Waiting to Exhale, Deliver Us from Eva and I know who Killed Me with Lindsay Lohan.
Porsha Williams-Stewart, who is married to football player Kordell Stewart, is also joining the cast. She was recently spotted attending castmate Cynthia Bailey’s launch party for her new P.T. Rose Moscato in Atlanta.
Filming has already begun, a source says, and the fresh blood comes just in time. “Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes are still not speaking,” an insider tells In Touch. “So these two will add some very needed new drama and storylines.”
Bravo had no comment about the new developments, but other reports also claim that Kim’s role on the show will be cut down significantly because of her new pregnancy.

Ev & Ocho Gossip: Its Too Late To Apologize

I swear I hear that song playing in my head lol anywho TMZ is reporting:

Chad Johnson has broken his silence ... and has issued an apology "To everyone for the recent events that have occurred" involving his wife Evelyn Lozada

Moments after Evelyn filed for divorce, Johnson released a statement on his website regarding his recent domestic violence arrest ... saying, "I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death."

He adds, "To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies.  I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."

Even though Johnson was dropped from the Miami Dolphins, the 34-year-old wide receiver doesn't believe his football career is over ... saying, "I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL."

Ev & Ocho Gossip: She ready to sign them PAPERS

TMZ is reporting Ev has filed for divorce after 40 days of marriage from Chad ( I think once he lost his job I saw that coming) we will see how this goes .....

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Recap: B I C T H and in that order lol

I have not had a moment to fully watch nor recap this showI did however see Momma Dee cant spell the word BITCH, since she said "Erica is a bitch B I C T H, and in that ORDER..." ummm ok  but here is the recap according to my dear Rodney Ho over at the AJC:

I’m sorry I’m doing this recap late. I had a deadline on another story that kept me from watching the episode until this morning:
joseline
My favorite line from last night’s episode was courtesy of Benzino:
“Strip clubs give me clarity.”
Moments later, we see Benzino hanging with the Cad, Stevie J, at Follies Atlanta strip club admiring a woman’s gymnastic ability. Then Stevie J talks about how he wants Mimi and Joseline to come to an understanding. “In my perfect world, I’d get them to work together,” he said.
In his fantasy, he continued: “I’m in love with Mimi and Joseline. We just need one more session with the doctor and we can live happily ever after.”
Indeed, the trailer for the season finale of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” features the three of them back together again with the therapist. This time, they are not seating together, which might help keep Stevie J from getting beat up again.
Another amusing moment: at the Cactus Car Wash in Midtown in last night’s episode with Benzino, Mimi wears a pink shirt with the words “Potty Mouth.” At least she has a good sense of humor. She does curse up a storm, usually calling Joseline the B-word over and over and over again. Joseline, in the meantime, keeps vacillating over whether to stay with Stevie J or not, which is pretty much the same situation every week. And she cried, of course.
There were other storylines, too, I think. Erica and Lil Scrappy are possibly reconciling but probably not. (Isn’t that the same plotline every week, too?). K. Michelle does a riveting first-person act about being a domestic violence survivor for a non-profit. Benzino finds Karlie’s obsession over her career annoying and is feeling doubts about proposing to her. Karlie thinks he’s just angry all the time without wondering why he’s so angry. And Rasheeda and her manager husband seem to be in better spirits despite the fact she canned him last week.

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Gossip: Borrowed or Boosted?

MTO and a few other sites are reporting what WE ALL looked over ... during the show last week when Scrappy was in the studio about to work with Rasheeda he had on a pair of fatigue shorts ( yea I know you saw that part) but what most of us missed was the security tag still on his clothes lol now items that are paid for generally have these tags removed, unless someone forgot but you normally beep at the door go back and have them removed UNLESS of course the clothes were borrowed and being returned or Borrowed the 5 finger way lol have a look.

At the height of KeKe’s career, her private struggle with domestic violence became the main focus in the media, rather than her newly-released album. Today, her affiliation with NCADV is one that is very important to her. “I am proud of my affiliation with NCADV and I am happy to be able to lend my voice to their mission. I often perform songs about domestic violence and for me it is a stress reliever. I want ladies and girls to know they are not the only ones going through what they are going through. You're human just like others in the situation. It's a horrible feeling when you're stuck in that. And even when you get away you live in fear not knowing when something might happen. Me being active in domestic violence groups is part of it. I think that's why people go through things, so you can help someone else. God helps you help others get out of the situation."
